Our site visit uncovered 9 machines that were either out of order, awaiting a service engineer or in need of an annual maintenance check. Through conversations with the IT Manager, we were aware that they were unhappy with the service levels currently granted to them by the incumbent supplier. Additionally we discovered that the basic MFD tools were not being utilised, causing inefficiencies and unnecessarily high print and consumable costs.
We removed all of the existing machines and presented a new leasing agreement covering 6 multifunctional devices, two per floor. Secure user identification and release software on the machines ensured that security wasn’t compromised as a result of the removal of the desktop printers from senior management offices.
Rule-based printing and mono as standard were deployed across all machines. This, together with a reduction in service calls and maintenance costs, delivered a saving of 32% for the customer.
Datatech were able to:
- Following a full print and site audit, deliver savings of 32% per annum
- With remote diagnostics and monitoring, reduce service calls by 72%
- Provide detailed usage reports by floor, department and individual user, giving clear understanding of costs and an ongoing commitment to continuous improvements
- Respond to any service calls within 4 hours, reducing downtime.
“We are delighted with the excellent, proactive service we receive from Datatech. All of our costs are transparent and all of the team is helpful and willing to go the extra mile whenever we need them.”
